Nourishing the Heart Through Affordable Art

Gabrielle Tocaya As a child, I watched my grandmother (who, along with my grandfather, raised me) write poetry, create + execute plays, host art shows, and counsel people. Years later, I found myself working in my university's art gallery while studying psychology. My love for art and people has allowed me to grow and evolve through the ever-changing moods and trends of the art industry for over a decade, while also maintaining compassion for the humans behind it. I have worked for some notorious art institutions and smaller galleries, volunteered with grassroots organizations, coordinated successful shows, presented live tours on popular exhibits, wrote curatorial pieces, provided commentary, and assisted in the sale of hundreds of artworks. What I have learned is that whether you are creating art, selling art, collecting art, or experiencing art, art will change your life.
