Art: 'Burning Bridges to Nowhere 2020' by Deron Raynor The mind is incredibly powerful. It analyzes and interprets the things we absorb through our senses and then connects it to our present thoughts and memories of saved symbols, sounds, images, perceptions, sensations, and emotions. It then pushes the button on how we are to respond or not respond to the new information with the old information. To control and direct these responses, we tell ourselves we must "train the mind." The Power of No...and Yes

Image
That moment where you start to truly know and love yourself. Even the parts you've run from for so long, you find yourself embracing with compassion. This moment is magic. It is a moment of awareness that not only allows you to see your own humanity but also the humanity of others. Outside of the space of judgment or, "Do they like me, do I like them?" A space of beauty and acceptance for what is and what is not. The strength to know what you wish to cultivate in yourself and the space in which you dwell. The discernment to recognize who and what does not align with your style of life and development. The power of no and...yes. 😎 Art: 'Girls at a party.' by Rebecca Moses 🎶 Now playing: 'Mister Magic' by Grover Washington Jr. Love, Gabbi

These synaptic atmospheres feel like tangible places in which these ghosts have eternal life, memory being our only access point for reconnection. We may also find ourselves traveling back in time, compulsively trying to "fix" what has already existed. "If only this had happened," "If only this hadn't happened," Repeatedly trying to undo a path that was laid down to create the current version of us, our lives, our world, not realizing we are ultimately trying to destroy our present selves and reality in these moments of nostalgic desperation. No matter the turbulence experienced to get you here...
